"This song is about my first major relationship. I could feel the end near and I was really heartbroken. He was very charming and kind to me, and helped me figure out how to be happy. I wrote this about 2 weeks before he left and was very confused. At the time, it seemed so much sadder like saying 'I can't live if you leave because of all these reasons', but now as I have looked back and we've revamped it , and started performing it, it seems so much more triumphant. Now it says, 'I know this isn't going to work out, and I'll be a wreck,but I'll be glad it happened.'  "
